Internships are an essential way for history students to explore career paths and hone their skills.
We have developed relationships across campus with professionals who want to work with history students. Our interns have contributed to
- exhibits and collections at the Spurlock Museum
- digital exhibits at the Illinois Distributed Museum
- visitor services and collections at the Champaign County History Museum
- online GIS mapping projects at the Student Life and Culture Archives
- the Bicentennial of the State of Illinois exhibit at the Rare Books and Manuscript Library
- social media communications
- website development and analytics
In addition, history students obtain summer internships off campus at places like Gettysburg National Park, their local state's attorney's office, and Wall Street.
